It’s a lovely sunny, cold crisp January morning today.  I’ve been out and walked the dog and now I’m back home in the warm with a fresh cup of tea, ready to start my day.

Harsh cold days and the heating on at full whack when I’m indoors tends to dry my skin out, do you find that?

Also, now I’m getting older my face is getting drier on my cheeks and not so fine lines are developing, or should I say, have developed!

Today I’m reviewing a product called C+ Collagen Deep Cream by Dr Dennis Gross. The lovely folks at SkinStation have sent me a pot of this lush cream to try for my review.

What is C+ Collagen Deep Cream?

The C+ Collagen Deep Cream is a lush rich moisturiser containing vitamin C and collagen complex as well a high concentration of nourishing oils. These provide moisture to repair the skin and revive dry, aging skin, making it smooth with a bright complexion.

How to use it

A little does go a long way! Personally, I don’t use the amount that the model in the ad is using, on my face but that’s just my personal preference. I have friends who love lots of cream all over their face.

The cream can be used AM and/or PM. It’s suggested that you apply it morning and night (before bed) for best results and also combine with a serum if you use one. I’m sooo lazy! I only apply cream to my face in the morning, after my shower.

I have found that it’s a nice thin textured cream, that’s easy to apply. It has a very feint but pleasant smell. When you first apply the cream it does leave a slight shine on the skin (see face photo below) but this disappears after about 5 minutes. As the cream is absorbed.

This deep cream is ideal for dry skin types. Smooth it over and massage into clean, dry, face, neck, and décolleté (that’s the area below your neck and towards your bust).

What’s the Price?

From £75 for a 50ml jar.

Pros & Cons

I’ve been using the cream for about a month now and I really like this product. So much so that I’m now wondering how much more effective it would be if I did combine it with a serum. One to think about! Let me know if you use a serum?

My face definitely feels firmer with some of the thin lines starting to disappear. My skin also feels softer, probably because it’s being hydrated and nourished.

I took a photo of my face when I first started using the cream and again after a month. Try to ignore the different lighting (in the same room!) and the shadows on my face on day 1. You can see there is definitely a difference in the skin.

I really can’t find any faults with this product and I’ve had a quick on the brands’ website and the ratings are all very positive on this product too. With many saying softer but firmer hydrated skin, which was my experience.
